Tilo Touch

An iPhone and iPad app for children under five. Tap a picture and a short video plays, with a voice saying what it is in the language you picked.

WHAT IS IN IT

Watch — five picture grids: the farm, traffic, wildlife, the sea and dinosaurs. Each subject has three clips and the app picks one at random, so the same tile is not the same video twice running.

Listen — instruments and everyday sounds, from a trumpet to a fire engine. Tap one and it plays.

Play — a sound plays and the child picks the picture it came from.

Eleven languages: English, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Swedish, Ukrainian, Russian, Vietnamese and Simplified Chinese. The language is a tile on the home screen rather than a setting buried somewhere.

Every video and sound ships inside the app. It plays with no connection at all.

SUBSCRIPTION

The farm videos, the music sounds and the whole guessing game are free. The rest opens with a weekly subscription, sold through the App Store and cancellable there at any time.
